Christopher D. Furman, President and CEO
For more than 30 years, Christopher D. Furman has held key roles in the food, beverage and consumer products industries in the U.S. and internationally. Today, Chris is President and CEO of both Ventura Foods and DYMA Brands, a Ventura Foods company.
A privately held joint venture between CHS Inc. and Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Ventura Foods is a leading global manufacturer of custom and branded food products based in Brea, Calif.
Chris held positions of increasing responsibility during a 23-year career at PepsiCo, the last of which was President of PepsiCo Foodservice until he left for Ventura Foods in 2009. In the PepsiCo role, Chris was one of the company’s top 30 executives and a member of its governing executive leadership committee. His previous PepsiCo positions included assignments in the United States and an international role as President of Pepsi Spain, based in Madrid.
On behalf of Ventura Foods, Chris is a society fellow at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), which enhances the quality of education and enriches the lives of CIA students and their college communities. He serves on the board of Pacific Life Insurance Company as well as the Children’s Hospital of Orange County board.
Chris received a degree in Food Marketing from St. Joseph’s University (SJU) in Philadelphia. In 2013, he established an endowed scholarship for the school’s Food Marketing students. In April 2017, Chris was inducted into the SJU Haub School of Business Hall of Fame.
